TSS Class Information


You need to attend a Traffic Survival School class if you:

  • Received a Corrective Action letter from the Arizona MVD;
  • Were Court-ordered by an Arizona Court (DUI);
  • Were Court-ordered by an out-of state Court, with permission to attend from the Arizona MVD; or
  • Received a Traffic Survival School assignment letter from ADOT/ACNSC


How To Register For TSS


TSS classes are held once a month at each of our locations. The Prescott location generally holds the class on Monday and Tuesday with 4 hours of class time each day. Our Cottonwood class is held on a Sunday for the full 8 hours. Class dates are established by registration. When registering for the TSS class, please indicate which location you'd like to attend and someone from our staff will contact you regarding the specific dates.

Once registered, students must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to class start time with the following items:

  • Corrective Action letter OR Proof of Assignment (issued by MVD)
  • Government-issued I.D. (driver's license, passport, state I.D. card)
  • $120 cash

How Much Is Traffic Survival School?

  • School Fee: $120

What is the difference between the Defensive Driving Course and the Traffic Survival School?

The Defensive Driving Course is for ticket/citation diversion. The TSS Course is for anyone receiving a Corrective Action Letter from the Motor Vehicle Division.

Once I finish the class what do I do next?

Nothing! We provide your specific court with a report containing the necessary information that you have completed the required course.

Is this course approved by the state of Arizona?

Yes, Yavapai TSS is certified by the Arizona Supreme Court and accepted by all courts in the state of Arizona. You can verify this by clicking HERE.

How do I pay for the TSS course?

We accept cash or money orders only. Payment is required at the beginning of class. Please make money orders payable to "Yavapai TSS".

How long is the TSS course?

The duration of class is 8 hours. The Monday and Tuesday class is split with 4 hours each day. The Sunday class is 8 hours.
